Here is my funky wool album style quilt I am starting with my koolaid dyed wools. there will be 12 blocks.

With the koolaid dyeing did you only dye white wool or did you overdye colors. I am going to try it on some light tan.

Deb, I used one that was a winter white and two that were a light tan. One was a tweedy kind so I got a nice texture (the darker pink flower parts, and the purple basket, and the vines) I did overdye a blue plaid that I had (a pendelton shirt) and got a nice green plaid out of it.

Both of the pinks in my picture, and both of the greens were done in the same batch, one with the white wool and one with the tweedy light tan.

OH SO Fun!! and funky!
Kool aid dyeing is fun and easy I posted a link to a few days ago.
The deeper and fabric the deeper the color, just remember you can't make it lighter than the original piece. But I may try an experiment in a few weeks with Rit color remover, will let you all know what results I get.

Did some koolaid dyeing yesterday. It turns out great. I used lemonade, ice blue raspberry, orange and strawberry lemonade. The only thing I will do different next time is to stir the jars every so often so the color is more uniform.

Here it is. The top row is the original fabric.
The next row is the finished product. I used the light tan for all the colors, the red just overdyed with the blue, and the black and white I only used with the orange. I was happy with the easiness of it.
