Is this really not too hard? Is it all the prints that make it look more intricate than it really is? It is a beautiful quilt. I am thinking of all the cool colorways it could be done in. Hmmm-maybe .....

if you do fusible applique is EASY... piecing is squares.. only difficult applique shape is that heart!

Here is the center from a blog... it is before she did the 4 corners applique, but has the scallops.. it's really easy

I'm going to try and keep my fabrics more 'similar' so it's not so crazy to look at.. repeat the fabrics more...  did some tracing to fusible tonight.. WOOT WOOT!

I'm going to look for it tomorrow-going on a little back to school shopping get away with my 12 yr old daughter tomorrow + overnight. Should be fun! See you all on Tuesday.

Me too Cindy. I stopped at a quilt shop on the way back from my shopping extravaganza with my daughter (so tired I hardly had the energy to look at fabric, can you imagine!). I saw a beautiful fabric that I think is going to be my "inspiration peice" for colors.

Share your inspiration piece!!! I'm ITCHING to get that center heart picked... going to trace the heart tonight... 30 min a night tracing and I'll be done soon!  THEN onto fabric.. the fun part!

Heres my inspiration fabric. I  love the combo of the robin's egg blue, brown and sage, with some reds thrown in.
