Where did you get the pattern for those hand warmers? I would love to make a pair for when I go to bed and read with my arms out of the covers. I get cold.

I 'developed' that pattern - but it's so easy!
I use Lion brand Wool Ease - the lighter weight - on size 8 dp needles - just do 48 sts for each one and knit them both at the same time until they are as long as I want them - then bind off and sew up the side seam, leaving an opening for the thumbs. for a smaller size, use a smaller needle. I've done them on 5, 6, & 8
this pair was made for a man - he is a student and does a lot of work on his laptop... beats me how anyone can get cold hands while typing, but there ya' go! I doubled them to give him extra cushioning at the wrist.

Thea, thanks for posting how you made the hand warmers, I want to try them! I'm also resisting the Grannys right now (I'll have to get my friend Mary to show me how to crochet), but they are definitely on my list. I blogged yesterday about what I been doing with yarn ~ I turned my first heel http://www.springwaterdesigns.blogspot.com/Have a good day! ~ Dawn

Man, I can see you are quite talented!!! I want to knit sooo bad. I have a quilt friend who helped me knit a sort of shrug type vest. It turned out nice, but ...... not sure how I did it! I need someone to tell me how to start all over again. Here is one view:

What a great shrug. Love the color on you.
I crochet but have never been able to get the hang of knitting. Have to get back to it.

I knit and crochet but prefer knitting. Isn't it great that we like different things? I'm going to get some of that yarn down from the attic to try those hand warmers for my reading in bed.
