Alright, I won't trim anything down yet. I just measured again from one side to the other inside the circle and it measures about 7 1/4". I'll applique my inner leaves and inner circle, then play around a bit more with the outer buds. I may send you a photo if I get hung up. Thanks!

I really like the wreath, and am about ready to start stitching it.
A friend gave me 10 wool skirts.  So I am for sure using out of my stash.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their pattern.

Lucky you with the wool. LoriD make sure you applique the outside buds before the stem because they tuck under.
Anyone have any trouble printing??

When I design a quilt it goes through lots of changes and is never quite like I thought it would be in the beginning. This is why I sew all my own samples because drawing the design is just the first step. That being said, I finished the four pieced blocks for next month and have settled on the sashing and borders. It is just about tweaked to where it will be in the end.

Thank you Pat for the Forum and Flickr!

I started Block #2 and only using only fabric
from my stash.  I'm doing the freezer paper
method instead of my usual back basting.
Haven't tried the freezer paper in yrs. and
have to refresh my memory and brush up.

I actually may go back and finish some of my
old UFO applique projects. I'm really getting
into this.
Thanks again Dawn!

Okay, I think I have posted my pictures correctly in Flickr!  I'm not too good at this, but I think the pictures of my first two blocks are in my photostream.  Is that right?

Billie follow this Tutorial that Margi has for us.. it tells you how to now load the photos to our flickr group. They have to be IN your photostream then you will select more 'groups' to add the photos to.

OOOHHH! another project to start!  For some reason I was unable to download, so I've I've printed the block one and two patterns.  I love the civil war prints, but alas the only ones I have in my stash are dedicated to patterns.  I am going to have to buy some, but that's ok.  I do have two questions though...
1.  what size block should these be pieced on?
2.  can these blocks be done using fusible with a blanket stitch instead of needleturn applique?  or will the pieces be too small for the blanket stitch in later blocks?

All blocks are 12" finished. I have no idea why some people have trouble downloading. Seems to print fine. I don't have enough tech. knowledge to answer. Pat??
I think you should whatever method of applique you like. I don't like rules, quilting is supposed to be fun. Plus it's your quilt. Some of the pieces are smallish but if you can needleturn them I think you could blanket sitch.
