Before I left NJ, I nearly finished April Showers. Already have May done. What do you guys think colorwise when June is said? I already know July will be another Red, White and Blue, and Aug. will be oranges and yellows for the heat in NJ. What will June be?Huh? Wink

For June I think of bright, summery colors.  I used a lot of bright oranges, reds, greens, blues, and lots of novelty fabrics that had summer themes to them...I did throw in a strip of red, white and blue for the 14th b/c that was Flag Day...and I remember seeing on here someone used soccer theme fabric during the World Cup--great idea there.

How are your calendar quilts coming along?

I'm surprised at how difficult it is to stick with something for a whole year!

HOW do people do this?  Maybe I'm just too much of a scatter brain to get this done after all.  I was doing pretty well through May/June, then summer came along and now it's NOVEMBER already!

I have a big pile of strips, but they need to be sewn together - a good project for a blustery day.

I'm still behind on my calendar quilt, but I work on it constantly as my leader/enders. I think I might have 6 mo. completed. I'm counting it as a UFO and that's also why I'm working on it.

I'm behind, too.  But like Sharon, I'm counting as a UFO.  My goal is to have it finished--at least all the strips sewn together by the end of the year.  I think that is a very reasonable goal.  I was VERY good through August...then for some reason everything kind of fell apart...and I can't even blame it on the kids going back to school b/c I DON'T HAVE KIDS!!!!  LOL   Grin

don't worry!! I had to start twice to make it happen!!

I think if you have done through Aug you can catch up! If not... then just start from TODAY and we will get more to join us in Jan.. then you can fill in!!

it's a bit harder than it would seem... but you can do it if I could!!! rah rah!!!

Wink  OK, so from what I've just read, no one is old and no one is actually behind, since this can be picked up at any time with the missing parts fillied in later.  Phew!  Makes me feel better after a 'big' birthday and my last completed block was July's.

Having so much fun finding scraps from quilt made in the past. I just finished 30 days of darker strips that were some from the quilt I made for DGD when he was 4 and now he is 15! The strips were part of a Snoozin with Snakes that I used for a border on his baby tiger log cabin quilt he used on his wall for years. Memories!

Oh good grief!  Roll Eyes Another UFO I forgot about and have to add to my list.  Roll Eyes I'm going in the wrong direction!  Shocked I think I'm up t 20 now!   Embarrassed  I think I got as far as cutting some green strips for April and got side tracked.  Maybe I'll start up again in January after the holiday work is done.  And if I start April in January maybe I can get ahead and finish next year!   Wink
