i think it's excellent to keep colors together, that is what I do.. and keeping the scraps with the others is good.. seems normal to me..

... only you just MAY be a tad more 'tidy' than me.. LOL!

What a great looking quilt!  I'm a big fan of black and white quilts and LOVE, LOVE the splashes of color!

Have to admit that I've never heard of "zingers" until I stumbled upon this forum...and Pat...I can't, just can't start another project!  LOL  Since I was introduced to your DBQ website I've started a calendar quilt, got hooked on Bunny Hill BOM from last year and the Bunny Hill BOM for this year...and now THIS.  And I'm not even counting all the UFOs that I've promised myself that 2010 would be the year that they would become FINISHED OBJECTS!!!!  Cheesy

Oh well...what's saving a few more things from the landfill, right?

That's exactly what happens to me! I get sucked into all the fun. Then I get behind and the guilt sets in. Geeshe! I teach others to say no, but it's much harder to say no to yourself, isn't it?  Cheesy I like the idea of including some regular fabric between the selvege strips into a pattern that is more cohesive. My scraps will need something to tie them all together.

I guess I need to check out what a calendar quilt is, but wowza!! what a great looking quilt, cre8fmom!!  guess I should have been saving the selvage instead of tieing up all those tomato plants we had..... sure was colorful tho!!! lol   It really is a zinger!!

Yes I am making a slipcover. I am kind of making it up as I go along, but I have read a few books and have a general idea what to do.

COOL!!! it's awesome!!!

How will it go 'over' the chair??  that's the part I'm having trouble with... I can figure out the shape... but seems like it needs ties in the back or something so I can get it on the chair

I am going to use a staple gun to staple it to the bottom of the chair!
