LOL!!!! I had not thought of that option!! I'm not sure I could get it nice enough for the living room...but might consider that!

Yes, that is one of the reasons I decided to use selvages- very forgiving, and it will be for my playroom!

Pat, many slipcovers have a hidden zipper some where in the back corner seam. HIH

I really like your chair. Would love to redo my old recliner but DH has adopted it in his study and I don't have room in my studio. Oh Well! I can dream. Maybe I will make a cushion for the stool at my sewing machine - small and round!!

Your chair is just fantastic!! You did a wonderful job on it. Many moons ago when I was a young bride, my mom helped me upholster an old couch and chair so I know that you put a lot of work into this piece. You had a great chair for this project. It's shape really showcases the selvedge strips. I had saved a large package full of selvedges but sent them off to someone in Australia who was making things from them. I decided I'm going to collect a few again and make a needlecase or coinpurse just for the fun of it. :-)

I have quite a collection going myself. My friend who owns one of the LQSs is also collecting for me, so that's making my collection grow exponentially! And yes, it's a distant dream b/c I have SOOOO many projects on the list before the zinger becomes more than a dream.
