Oh goodie goodie!!

I've got 2 projects to finish up (maybe 3).

I need to do the quilting on a Fly Away (from your I Can't Believe I'm Quilting Beyond the Basics book) and I need to do the quilting on Lady Slippers Quilt (from your Quilt the Seasons book).  My new Bernina is fantastic and I love doing free motion quilting with it!!!  Dear old Singer is relegated to piecing!!

Fly Away is done in blues and will be on the bar in the kitchen after the holidays.  My version of Lady Slippers is colored pretty much like your original.  I have to finish it quickly because it's the last decoration for Christmas!!!!!  MY DH really likes it.  What can I say, when I make one of your designs my own, he is always complimentary!   Cheesy

I also need to finish the hand quilting on a full size quilt for my daughter.  It's about 3/4 done and this weekend will give me the prompting I need to finish it up!

And it's not quilting, but I'm quickly doing a redwork snowman to make into a pillow for the couch.  He says Let It Snow and I'm about halfway done with him.  Maybe he'll be finished before Friday!!

I've got all the fabric bought for Wild Rose Quilt (also in Quilt the Seasons), but haven't started it yet.  Sounds like a good after the holidays wall hanging as it would be perfect for spring!

Hope everyone is doing well.  Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!

This is just what I need to focus!
I am going to my husband's grade five class on Monday to do some sewing crafts for them to sell at the school craft sale. Something I've never done! I have sewing machines being donated and parent helpers may come in too. But Monday I'm solo.
I am basically kitting up 16 potholders. I have 16 backs cut, 7 fronts made. I need to finish making these, and cut my batting to size.
We are also sewing mitten ornaments which I would like to cut out by Monday.
I need to make sure I have enough supplies, like thread and pins. I may make pincushions for them to use to sell later? There are only 8 kids!
Is there something really obvious I am missing in getting myself ready?! I have to teach my husband how to use a sewing machine too Grin
In addition, I would like to make a tablerunner for my blog 100 post giveaway next week!
And. . . I need to do my Christmas cards!
Can she do it all folks? With a two year old experiencing his first cold? With a husband away - maybe he'll take the girl!?!
Only time will tell.
If I can get something done - maybe you can too Wink

This is going to be GREAT!! Do you have the project ready to work on?

Be sure you get them out so you can work on them when you have a few minutes... you'll be amazed at how fast things get done!

OK, when the craft show was cancelled, I deflated. So I'm going to work to finish up several items and offer them to DD for friends gifts. Maybe I will gift some friends from previous lives in other states. LOL I'm gong to get pics of my steno pad covers and find the various fabrics to finish up the pens to go with. I'm getting back into the groove. Thanks for the FIU idea.

Christmas quilt for the guest room - center is done, will be working on borders, then quilting it. AND a sweater for my youngest daughter - needs sleeves and front bands. This daughter is coming home for Christmas ... first time in 6 years!!! She'll be sleeping under the quilt so  I'm motivated to FIU. Pictures tonight on flicker.

I uploaded a couple of things to flicker. My daughter is getting the sweater, Pat - you had this on Yarn Mash Up. If you make one, be aware, it's sized on the small side. I'm going to do another one for me but make some adjustments and NOT before Christmas!

Pat!!! How did you know I was in the middle of a Holiday FIU!! I have posted 3 projects I hope to have quilted and ready to wrap for Christmas. None of them are very big, so I am hoping I didn't bite off more than I can chew (or sew!)   Shocked

I have one before pic, the table runner is "in progress" (a cute pattern by Sandy Gervais) and some pics before quilting....

Can't wait to see what everyone else is trying to finish!!

Okay, I have a lot of decorating to do...I pictured just a few pics of the undecorated and VERY messy house.  So glad my Mom is not a member of this group.

Then I have a lot of candy to make.  I posted a pic of the ingredients to be turned into candy.

Thanks, Pat.  This will be fun!

Shocked Oh Wow, what a great idea. I have so many things that need my attention. Just finishing our home remodel which included my sewing room, I still have things to put up. However, I am so much more organized now.

I really need to finish two lap quilts that are for Xmas presents and one seascape for a birthday present after the first of the year.

Bought a new Babylock W/ embroidery attachment about 3 mos ago and during home renovation I have been studying how to operate it and the Designers Gallery software. Wow, baby steps here but I have so many things to embroider. Guest towels, tree skirts, 2 quilts, one for me personally and a set of heirloom linen placemats/napkins set for family.

I  need a good reason to buckle down and this sounds like it.

Thank you Pat,

Margo

ok......I have to put up the Christmas trees this weekend, finish up a couple of quilts, and fix up the bathroom. My dad just painted it for me and now I need to put it back together......

I just bought a new camera today! So I get to take pixs tommorrow to post on Flickr. Luckily my teenage son will be home tommorrow night in case I can't figure out how to use the new camera!

This was my motivation to get in gear for the weekend! I have an extra day off work and really want to get my 3 I Spy quilts for my nieces and daughter done. I am making a Piece Of Cake pattern that is SOOO cute. I posted some photos of my blocks ready to machine applique (yes, I know I should probably have done fusible, but I love freezer paper machine applique!). Each of the hearts in the blocks is a different novelty fabric. I had so much fun collecting them over the entire year. Hopefully I will have finished pics very soon!
