Oh, How could I forget? Dean Koontz writes about a character named Odd Thomas. These are phenomenal books. I don't normally enjoyed reading Koontz because his books tend to terrify but the Odd Thomas series are truely a must read.

Thanks for your answers. Our favorite detectives hold a special place in our hearts, don't they?

I know I'm too late for this .. but do we have to pick just 1?
Alex Cross .. James Patterson!! QUICK reads with those short chapters .. and grab you from the start
Stephanie Plum .. Janet Evanovich .. just keep you LOL all the way through .. and her grandma Mazur ... I want to adopt her!
And can't forget about Kay Scarpetta ..
ok .. enough rambling!! Now to find the time to read instead of trying to find more sewing time .. and well .. maybe Santa will bring the Merry Maids with him!! LOL

I read all 12 of the Elm Creek Quilting Books, not sure if this counts or not, been out of sorts lately. I finally went back to work and Im trying to get things back in order. My sewing machine is still broke down and waiting parts.
I miss chatting with everyone. Lynne in PA

I love Benni Harper too! I have read all of the series of books so far. Also, I grew up on Nancy Drew, so I have a soft spot for her too. Thanks for the great giveaway! I love to read-I am reading the Lost Symbol right now.

I love the Kay Scarpetta Series by Patrica Cornwell. Kay is a brilliant Chief Medical Examiner who can find the killers better than any male detective. I love how she does her job. Patrica Cornwell is an excellent writer.

Good morning,
Wow, what a great morning even tho it is very dull and cold. My mail man bought me a wonderful book. It is Ocean Waves by Terri Thayer. And signed too. it looks so good I am going to start it tonight when I get home from work. I am also reading The Devil's Punchbowl by Greg Iles. it is amazing good thing i only read when I go to bed because if I started during the day I would not be able to put it down. James Patterson is very good and a quick read.
Thank you so much for my book i am starting it later today.
Cheers Ann
