This forum form looks a little different from what I have been used to - but jumping in and giving it a whirl. I'm anxious to get started - hoping someone likes what I create.

there are some AWESOME Valentine fabrics out ... I have always loved hearts!!
let's see some photos!!!! love seeing things are they are being figured it!
each form is just a TAD different in look.. and since this a REALLY new software we got, it is using the most current formats... designed for what and how people have been using forums!! The all have main topics and subtopics... that is pretty much it! if you want to load a photo click the + below this box and another box open... put it in but to save space we require a low rez.. pic can be BIG but resolution low. In the question topic area are directions if you need them.

I have my swap partners's name, Yipee! Now to decide what to do... Not to worry, this is fun.... I think I'll make both and have my family and friends decide what they like. Pat I need your beading book! I just bought the Machine Quilting one at the big New Year's sale at JoAnns. Last night I make the Butterfly pillowcases. I used minkee in the center. They turned out really nice. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Hi - got my Sweetheart! Am off to work on her package.
Since I did not go into very much detail, hope some of this info will help my Sweetheart!
I love all chocolate!!! with or without goodies in it! I love to piece quilt tops, hand applique, as well as fused applique. I machine quilt my wall hangings but have friends who charge me to quilt my larger quilts. I have been quilting for 13 years now and it is my "destressor." If I need to unwind, I go to the studio and play.
My evenings are spent in front of the TV with my DH watching all the series shows, especially mysteries, law, csi, comedies and doctor shows. Guess we watch a lot of TV!!!! I also watch All My Children and One Life to Live on ABC every day.
During the day I work in my quilt studio and watch my shows and/or on my computer. We take walks at the Mall every other day to get some excercise and I can keep up with what is going on in the world.
My favorite color is red and I love all jewell tones and batiks. Karen

Hi, I am a single woman in her mid 40's and Valentine's Day is usually an emotional challenge. So when I heard about this swap, I had to join in. I have done lots of swaps on Swap Bot this year and enjoy the process of making something special for a stranger and making new friends in the process. I have already gathered up my fabrics, made a trip to a local fabric store to purchase some new Valentine prints and decided which quilt I am making. I am looking forward to a super Valentine's Day in 2010! Thanks, Pat for hosting this swap!

HI all, been swamped with Fat Sunday dinner fixins', young adults coming in and out, and football playoffs of course. All of the swap partner emails have been sent out, enjoy the process and I can't wait to see how awesome everyone does! WOOT WOOT! I might just join a couple of others and make one for myself to play along with the game!

I just opened my email with my swap buddy's name. I am so excited to get started making my little quilt for her! I have not done much embellishing before and am anxious to try adding some great stuff to this heart. Janet Maple in WV where it's cold like everywhere else!

Hello Everyone! I am very excited to begin this swap. It is my first swap, so any words of advice are welcome. This is especially fun for me as my birthday is Feb 14 as well I plan on doing the applique quilt, as an extra challenge for me, and I have been scouring around looking for embellishment ideas and materials. Another new challenge. Should be lots of fun. Linda in Northern California

Wellllllllll, I guess you've all figured out that the secret is out of the bag hey! Your swap Mom (that would be me) didn't pay very good attention to the "secret" status of the swap and fired off emails with both partner/recipient data in the emails. Sorry about that gang but you can still surprise your partner with the goodies they receive! Margi

Yeah, well, my partner is still a secret to me - except for her name & address - I have no idea what she likes! Hopefully, she will be surprised and happy with the goodies I send so I won't post my pics until AFTER I ship!

Linda the biggest things you can do for a successful swap is 1- Do your BEST work possible on the gift quilt 2-Make something you are proud of 3-give gifts you would love to receive (not soso things) 4-be on time!!!
