Hey I am a real person with a picture and everything! Does that make me immune to latrine duty?  *OF COURSE* I am buttering up the camp leader! Smiley

Those pinwheels are great, and I very much love the batiks.  Wonderful color! Smiley

Just finished my 4th top using the 2.5" strips ... had NO idea I cut so many but the pile is way smaller. My camera battery died but Donna will take a picture in a few minutes and we'll post.

I'm still here in southern VA, my husband called and said "don't come home today." So - I'm spending another night with my sewing buddy! Hopefully tomorrow the road to our house will be plowed.

Still have a bag full of 1.5" strips ...

Sheila, I have to admit, when I heard blue and yellow, I knew it would be a winner, but wow, girl - that quilt is the bomb!!  It looks sooo happy and I would love to be the recipient of that one!!

Mary, what a great hubby you have - stay another night.... with my quilt buddy............ didnt have to twist your arm did he???

Cindy & Pat, seperated at birth..... I'll have to take a pic at that same angel, would love to be in that thought!!

Dennis..... latrine duty - hahahaha, just keep sewing maybe they wont notice, oh by the way, Mary and Donna may need you at their latrine - hahahha!!!!

Lisa, love those Batiks but must admit, I dont have many - I guess I was in FL too long and saw them every day in the sun setting, gorgeous!!!  They also sew like butter, so jealous of that!!

Karen - gosh!! sewing and teaching cooking - Im so mean, I would have said go for it... and see what they came up with  - but... you do have family coming!! lol

Just had some shirmp, but will have some pizza in a bit while watching the game.  Congrats to both teams for making it....may the best commerical win!!! Next week its NASCAR, baby!!!

Ive got the rest of my strips put in the plastic box for next time and starting my BOM (well several) But this was sure a great week end!!!

You guys are cracking me up!

I've been out most of the day with my daughter. Some friends from South Dakota are in Nashville to see a family member in the hospital. It was great catching up but now I'm a little homesick. Sad

All the tops look so good. I'll have to catch up this week! Gotta watch the second half of the football game...yeah, I like football!

Wow!  What a productive weekend.  Mary has stood over me with a whip most of the time.  She sews like the wind and has completed FOUR quilts from scratch!  I have completed three from scratch and finished three more UFO's from my sewing basket.  All the pictures are on this site except for the last two, which I'll show below.
We took hot showers tonight and flushed the toilets to our hearts' content -- at the neighbors' house!  They only use it in the summer, so they were more than willing to let us clean up a little -- at last!
This is the UFO I just finished.  Apparently I have to post another comment to show you my final -- and adorable Sloanie quilt.

And here's the final UFO -- Pat, this pattern is so adorable.  It's called The House on Chelsea Lane.

Lovetostitch,  Yes, take your picture at that angle and join us as a sister.  I always welcome another quilting sister.  Though, be warned, I get around.  I may show up in your neck of the woods asking you to lunch and fabric shopping!

Wow, you guys have been busy today!  I'm finally checking in :-).  We went to Church this morning and got invited by my youngest son and daughter in law for coffee and dinner!  Ben and Heather are expecting their first baby and she is due Tuesday!  She's doing very well and looking great.  We had a fabulous day, then headed for afternoon Church service with them and have been relaxing this evening...no football game here.  DH and I are both not into sports at all and don't even have our TV plugged in..yeah, I know we're strange ducks.  But, you just get so much more done LOL.  We do plug it in occasionally to watch the news and will likely watch a bit of the olympics, but I get my news online and commercials drive me crazy...they're insult to intelligence to me :-).

I am going to do a little hand quilting on Ben and Heather's baby quilt for a bit yet tonight and will take a picture of it to post tomorrow.

LOVED all the new quilts that took shape today....they are all wonderful!  I had a great time at Camp Sloanie Friday and Saturday and look forward to the next event!

Nice design wall Dennis!

I'm attaching a photo of the Dick and Jane quilt I'm working on...a friend just posted this picture she took of the top almost completed.  I finished machine quilting in the ditch yesterday at camp :-) and am handquilting the border right now.

And here are Cindy's pieces.  Sorry about the quilt-machine bit that is in the way.
