Another silly question-do the coasters and tea towel have to match?

I just got my towels today. My favorite shop, Firefly in Mankato, MN had new towels on display so I bought five in springy colors. I chose a yummy yellow one for my swap towel. :-) Plus, I need some for samples for a class that I will teach there. After I did my grocery shopping I stopped at the Dollar Tree store (as regular a stop as the Fabric shop in my world) to buy some Easter stuff for my niece. I found some cute towels there and was surprised at how nice they are. I bought some to experiment with as $1 a towel means no worry if I goof. :-) I'm going to decorate the teatowel for my partner this week and will make my coaster set for her, too. I am not planning on making my coasters to match the teatowel, but since I haven't made them yet, I can do a 180 and change my plan if needed. :-)

Not they don't have to match... LOL!! What.. are you guys all turning detailed on me this weekend? I might wait a bit before mailing the swap.. but you you could send it later next week... just because it's more fun to have them all going AROUND the same time.. plus you will then be sitting there another 3 weeks waiting on yours to arrive... it will seem like an eternity! When you DO mail please let Margi know... it helps us to keep track

I've been out of the loop here lately, trying to catch up on a few things ... and that hasn't really happened! But I have been suffering from "quilter's curse" ... started a couple of new things!
Hope everyong is having fun!

Deb, I went to the Flickr group to take a peak and your teatowel and coasters are lovely! I love pink and pastels so they really say Spring to me! Most of us here in MN are soooooo ready for Spring! It almost feels like it has arrived as it's 45 degrees and the sun is sooo bright and the snow is melting off our roof like crazy. This is all good but spring flooding is already the hot topic of conversation at church and at the grocery store. Everyone is hoping for a really, really slow melt! Yesterday, I saw a guy in the park with his two kids and they were flying a kite while surrounded by 2 feet of snow still on the ground. Nearby a neighbor was shoveling ice chunks along his driveway in his Bermuda shorts. This afternoon one of the young mom's in our neighborhood stopped by to deliver Girl Scout cookies. She, the mom, was wearing a pink pastel hoodie, pink capris and bright pink rubber clogs. She said her outfit was a "come on, Spring" message. LOL! Love it!

Thanks Pat, I worked on my project most of the day yesterday, I'm looking for something that I just can't see...I thought if I put it out there, without much detail someone just might inspire me to my next brainstorm. , sometimes my next thought comes unexpectedly.
