For the Challenge you need to use some of everything in the kit on the front of the quilt and you will HAVE to add to it.. which is part of the challenge!!!

There is NO color restriction.. if I do not MENTION a restriction then there is none!!

size is between 30 to 40".. squares, rectangles.. it's a GUIDELINE.. I don't want a pot holder submitted, nor a bedsize quilt...

we should be able to send mail tomorrow!

Renita that is COOL you all love Paris for different reasons... we'll have to share thoughts on that during the challenge!!  I've been to Paris as teenager... twice! Just magic (I DID live in Belgium so it wasn't THAT far)

Bonjour quilters!

I have signed up! I love Paris, and have such fond memories, not the least of which is that my DH proposed to me there-what a romantic guy.

I have so many ideas, now just have to figure out how to execute it, I am new to "art quilting" and look forward to the challenge. And I can't wait to get the challenge kit, there is something exciting about getting fabrics in the mail!

A bientot

Oh my Linda that is so cool to have a proposal IN Paris!!!!  I see rings... flowers... ahhh.. the romance!

The Eiffel tower is by and far the most romantic structure to me.. I have a bunch of the fabrics with the image... and some paris map fabric...

I've not visited Paris as an Adult and would love to do that.. but went Twice as a high school kid with friends... we had SUCH a blast!

It *was* romantic Smiley

I was thinking of somehow using the double wedding ring pattern...though I have no idea how! Maybe a border? Dunno yet, and open to suggestions.

One of my most vivid memories, besides the beautiful ring was the most outstanding breakfast in bed with the best coffee I have EVER had.

do some sort of asymmetrical layout.. a muted double wedding ring as a background... appplique coffee pot (parisian style!)   then some other meaningful things.. maybe your wedding date... this is the fun part!

I just received my "Paris" kit from you and now the fun begins!  I have to hone down my ideas into one cohesive theme, which won't be easy.  There are too many Parisian thoughts racing around my brain vying for attention.
Also, your flyer for the New England cruise is staring at me from the kitchen counter.
It looks like a fabulous trip.  I may have to strategically place the flyer where DH can see it and give several hints about what a fine birthday gift it would make.
